I'm outside the U.S. Is the Stage One compatible with my BMW?

The short answer is, well, maybe.  But the easiest way to find out is to head to our Stage One product listing, enter your vehicle information, and our site will let you know if we have a fitment.

Here's the long answer:

In general, BMW offers their vehicles with three possible audio system configurations:
  • "Base" Audio
  • "HiFi" Audio (sometimes called Professional HiFi)
  • "Top HiFi" Audio (sometimes called Premium DSP, Harman Kardon, or Logic7)
  • (For some cars their may be an even higher audio system available, such as "Enhanced Premium Sound" or "DIRAC" etc., but this is very rare)
However, in the U.S., with the exception of model year 2010 BMWs and some 2011 model year vehicles, we only get cars with the "HiFi" and above audio systems.  We do not receive the "Base" audio systems.

What this means is that if your European spec vehicle has the "Base" audio system (generally identified by a lack of front tweeters in your doors) then we probably do not have a Stage One which is compatible with your BMW because we do not have access to the necessary vehicles in order to test and complete an upgrade.

However, there are some exceptions to this rule, especially vehicles built from around 2004 - 2012 and those vehicles we've been able to confirm outside the U.S. (Again, please enter your vehicle information on our Stage One product listing to confirm compatibility).
